Her inferno is the title of our sound 
installation, the result of a seminary developed in the 2005/06 by 
Professor Neil Leonard. It is a significant exploration of a girl’s 
state, using only sounds. The girl is locked into a bath closed door‘ s 
and she start to cry.
It doesn’t matter why she cries, we are concerned 
about girl’s interiority, her feelings, her emotion. We don’t say who 
is the girl, where she lives, but only she is crying.
Our find sound 
installation is a reproduction of Dante’s Inferno, not like a 
metaphysical place, but like a “mix” (????) of emotions felt by a girl.
The project is divided into two parts.
In the mens’ bathroom you will 
hear the girl’s crying, a pure, soft and tender cry, almost inaudible; 
in University’s hall, instead, will be transmitted the same cry, now 
modificated with the add of shouts, words without sense, sighs, sobs or 
moans and registrations of door’s sounds.
All this to underline the 
girl’s interior suffering and to refer to one of the souls banished in 
the Inferno. So it is obviously the contrast between the exterior 
voice, repressed, and the inner voice, blasting and universal.

Ciao Tutti,

Domani pomeriggio noi incontriamo a 
Liviano in la stessa Aula a la  
stessa ora.

Prof. Durante me ha detto 
che il sito per la installazione sarà in  
Liviano dopo che il 10 di 
giunio e possiamo fare lo per più che un  
giorno. Anche il 
dipartemento po stampare una libretto.
